Call the Wood County Sheriff's Office at 419-354-9006 between the hours of 9:00 am and 4:00 pm, Monday thru Friday.

Information Required For ProcessingTop

  • Proof of Identity: (Ohio Driver's License, Birth Certificate, Social Security Card)
  • Proof of Age: Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Correct address for agency to receive fingerprint/background check certificate.
  • Cash only payment to be made upon completion

Background Check & Electronic Fingerprint FeesTop

  • Employment Background BCI&I Checks
  • Resident of OHIO for the last five years consecutively $32.00
  • Resident of OHIO for FEWER than five years $35.00

Employment Background FBI Checks:

  • All FBI Checks $35.00

Based on information needed by requestor, both an FBI and a BCI&I check may be required.

Specific checks may be requested by the agency or employer due to the nature of occupation or situation, e.g., adoption, teacher, healthcare, childcare, public service
