This year Pepsi Cola decided instead of spending their money during the Super Bowl commercials they would create a project called Pepsi Refresh. What this project is doing is providing grants in different amounts to any one or a group that would be interested in submitting a grant.
The Wood County Sheriff Office has submitted a grant to in an attempt to gain funding for new computers for the D.A.R.E. and S.R.O. Deputies.
Here is where you can help. This grant is decided and awarded by citizen generated votes. Simply put, the more votes you get better change you have to obtain the requested funding.
What we need you to do is to go to www.refresheverything.com, create a login (email address and password required) and vote everyday for our idea.
You can find our idea in the $5,000.00 education category. All you have to do is search (At the top of the page) for D.A.R.E. you will find our grant. Also if you further want to help Elmwood also has a grant for smart boards. To find them all you have to do is type Elmwood in the search box, and then vote.
You can vote every day for the next 30 days for our idea. In this tough time, let’s do everything possible to keep funding in Wood County Ohio.
