The Wood County Sheriff's Office has a great deal to offer new employees. A position with the Sheriff's Office is more than just a job -- it's a career. All Deputies begin their careers in the Corrections Division where they obtain valuable experience and communication skills. After a probation period, if a Deputy is trained and certified through the Ohio Peace Officers Training Academy, the Deputy may then apply for other positions within the Sheriff's Office such as Road Patrol Officer or Civil Officer.
