The Wood County Sheriff's Office has a great deal to offer new employees. A position with the Sheriff's Office is more than just a job -- it's a career. All Deputies begin their careers in the Corrections Division or Communication's Division where they obtain valuable experience and communication skills. After a probation period, if a Deputy is trained and certified through the Ohio Peace Officers Training Academy, the Deputy may then apply for other positions within other Divisions such as Patrol, Civil, Detective, DARE/SRO and SRT.
