Mark Wasylyshyn, Wood County Sheriff, was recently reappointed by Ohio Governor, John Kasich, to a full five-year term as a member of the Ohio Private Investigation and Security Services Commission (OPISSC). Sheriff Wasylyshyn represents all 88 Ohio county sheriffs on the OPICCS. He previously served a six-month term on this commission to replace a sheriff who retired.
The Commission is composed of operators of private investigator/security guard businesses, representatives of law enforcement, and the general public. The Commission advises the Ohio Director of Public Safety on all matters related to the regulation of private investigation and the business of security services, to chapter 4749.01 of the Ohio Revised Code, and all other aspects of all private investigation and security services licensure examinations.
